granny and granny and grandpa gave him the money in the summer, and he really really likes it. i really really like it too, it currently contains 4.5 days of music if you listen to it non-stop, and he's not finished loading it up yet.

Joel, i have the utmost respect for your parents for educating you in the ways of man. The iPod is more than a portable music storage and playback device, it is the essence of modern masculinity. The soundtrack to our lives in a funky white cover.

Joel, first things first, a belated but very warm welcome. You really sneaked up from nowhere on us. But the news of your arrival has made us all very very happy. Truly wonderful news and we are all extremely delighted for you all.
Anyway, forget these new gadget fruit things, those are just for kids. I have a big pile of 12 inch singles in the loft that you can borrow (guaranteed Cure free). The best one is probably the Two Tribes re-mix or you may prefer the Queen stuff...sorry, got to go, Madonna video just started on MTV........love to your folks, Nick J.
